Language and Cultural Studies
The Bachelor in Language and Cultural Studies is a programme that connects the study of culture to contemporary global politics. Designed for students who are interested in studying how different cultural texts and media construct our world, the programme focuses on the role of language and representation in the process of cultural globalization.
In the programme you will learn to analyze a wide range of cultural objects and phenomena, and move beyond ready-made constructions of culture and conflicts in the world. The strong international element will make it possible for you to reflect on your learning in an environment recognizing diversity, valuing involvement, and distinguishing the possibilities of social and cultural change.
After finishing the programme you will be able to work in areas such as education, media, government and non-government organizations, administration and business. The high degree of internationalization will make you attractive to employers who require such experience. You will also have learnt to discuss, analyze, and write about a wide range of discourses.
