International Programme for European Studies, 180 higher education credits

International Programme for European Studies

The programme gives you a European competence, with focus on cultural understanding and critical reflection. The program combines history with political science in order to bring knowledge and understanding of EU and globalization. The programme functions in a transnational setting, with exchange experiences integrated into the education.

In the programme you study the conditions which divide and integrate the European communities. You will learn how the EU functions, how to understand different historical contexts, theoretical perspectives on integration and how to communicate information, ideas, problems and solutions on European issues to different groups.

The third term takes place at Roskilde University in Denmark with a group project work in focus, together with courses in social theory.
The fourth term takes you abroad to a European university for studies. Good knowledge in French, German or Spanish is of essential help.
In the fifth term you study the EU and European culture and identities. During the sixth term you bring it together by studying and applying theories and reflexive methodology on a self elaborated problem in your BA dissertation.

After graduation, you will have competence useful for regional, national, European and global institutions, organizations and companies. The programme also gives a perfect foundation for further master studies in a broad field of topics.
